A majestic park with archeological ruins located on the Riviera Maya, Cancun, on the shores of the Caribbean. Enjoy a night show with more than 300 actors that will take you on a musical journey through Mexico’s history, from the pre-Hispanic age to the present day, complete with colorful, traditional costumes, folklore and dances. The recreation of the pre-Hispanic Ball Game, a “charra” festival, a Mexican cemetary, a coral reef aquarium, a butterfly house and underground rivers, as well as beaches and natural pools, optional activities like swimming with dolphins and an endless amount of attractions that make for some magical experiences. How to get there

Located on the Riviera Maya, 5 km south of Playa del Carmen and 75 km south of Cancún. Take your own car or go by taxi from Cancún, with a cost from about $80 to $100 USD one way, about 70 min. From Playa del Carmen it’s only about 15 min with a cost of about $15 USD. You can also take a bus from Cancun’s bus station (Av. Uxmal) and from Playa del Carmen (5ª Avenida).

Suggestions and Information

For an extra fee you can get: Transportation, food and drinks, swimming with dolphins/sharks. Renting snorkel equipment requires a 300 peso ($25 USD) deposit. Help us protect the environment using biodegradable sunscreen and tanning oil. Outside food and beverages aren’t permitted inside the park. There are many activities to do in Xcaret so wear comfortable clothing. Guided tours through the whole park are available, making easier to find what you want to do. Remember, it’s important to respect the area you’re visiting and keep it clean.
