La Jarana guarda el auténtico sabor de la cocina yucateca de antaño, además de ofrecer al cliente la comida y la bebida preparados como se le antoje para su satisfacción total. La carta de bebidas incluye opciones como las de jugo terapia y licuados. Los licuados serán al gusto del cliente, como el de mamey, que puede hacerse con leche light o deslactosada. Para el desayuno se contará con diferentes platillos de huevo, incluso que no se especifiquen en el menú. El restaurante es atractivo no sólo por la comida: el entorno también acompaña.
Ubicado frente a la Plaza Grande, a unos pasos del Palacio Municipal, ocupa uno de los edificios más antiguos y con más historia de Mérida. Sentarse por las noches en la terraza que mira al parque principal, con la Catedral como telón de fondo, es sentir cómo palpita el corazón de la ciudad.
