    El Meco

    Una visita al pasado.

    El Meco es un sitio arqueológico muy importante en Quintana Roo, posee el edificio más alto de esta zona llamado "El Castillo".

    Se puede recorrer esta pequeña ciudad Maya y sentir la conexión entre todos los sitios arqueológicos y a la vez notar lo que lo hace diferente a las demás, es de las pocas que se encuentran en buenas condiciones. Por la poca difusión son pocos los turistas que se toman el tiempo pra ir a visitar este sitio, pero eso no lo hace menos importante ya que se han hecho importantes estudios que afirman la relevancia del sitio.

    Como llegar

    Se encuentra a 8.2 kilómetros aproximadamente. Dirigirse hacia el sur, al paseo López Portillo (180), esta carretera te lleva a la zona.

    Abierto todos los días de 8 am a 4:30 pm.

    Puede que por temporadas esté cerrado al público pero por su interés y la importancia de sus edificios, el Centro INAH Quintana Roo autoriza visitas si son solicitadas anticipadamente a la dirección del centro. Su cercanía a la ciudad de Cancún permite realizar la visita sin inconvenientes.
